What the hey, it does the job
Even though it isn't even October, the Dollar stores are putting out the Christmas junk already. In addition to some halfway decent and very cheap pine trees, this year they have gaslight streetlamps at 4 for $1. Nice hard plastic, with a really bad paint job (how hard is it to paint something just two colors). Still at a quarter a piece they'd make adequate street lamps for gothic horror or the Empire of the Dead (with a bit of paint). You don't even have to deal with Christmas decorations on them. Here's one between a Pulp Figure Policeman on the left and a Copplestone gangster on the right.

It's that time of year again when the Dollar Stores have cheap pine trees suitable for gaming. Most are flocked white to represent snow, but some are not. Just repaint the base and you get two pine trees for $1. This year they are going under the name Cobblestone Corners Collectibles. The picture shows the two sizes with my usual Pulp Figures, Copplestone, and Rattrap miniatures.

Mysterious BillI've been gaming since the 1970's and even wrote some RPG adventures in the 80's for the Judges Guild. It seems that I can only get in miniatures is gaming at cons, but I do regularly play boardgames and RPGs. Archives
