An Unwelcomed Visit
O'Dugan, Long Round and Muffin (thanks to some assistance from Dr. Smith) moved from the flop-house they had been living in to a nice boarding house. It was clean (not roaches or bedbugs), had a nice linoleum floor (there had been rugs in the room but the landlady had them removed when she saw the dog and the duck, which was silly since they were housebroken, O'Dugan on the other hand....), and a bathroom with hot water right down the hall. While settling in there was a knock at the door. Muffin began growling and the duck ran and hid under a bed.
O'Dugan looked out the peephole and saw nothing. The knock came again, and O'Dugan asked who was it. No answer came in reply. Taking cover behind the door he had Long Round open it. There squatted a small green demon that waved and then disappeared in a cloud of green sulfurous smoke
Suddenly, from out of a puff of green smoke two hideous monster appeared and charged O-Dugan and Long Round.
While both O'Dugan and Long Round were unfazed by the horror one struck Long Round wounding him with a poisoned bite. The other fell from a mighty blow from O'Dugan's right arm (he isn't the bare-knuckle champion of a dozen cities around the world for nothing).
Muffin the dog came to help but once again O'Dugan felled the monster with one mighty blow.
The monsters disappeared in a puff of green smelly smoke (reminds me of when my mudder cooked cabbage O'Dugan thought). Then O'Dugan heard a voice that said "Greetings from the little man". Thinking hard O'Dugan came up with nothing (one too many punches to the head, actually he blew an easy Dare roll on three dice). Fortunately, Long Round remembered the midget Cultist that had escaped and gently explained it to O'Dugan ("One too many to the head" Long Round thought).
