Nothing much to report is the reason why.
I've been playing a bit of X-Wing. Its been a long time since I've had to figure out a game on my own, while teaching it to others. After a dozen or so small games, most very short, I think I have it figured out (I am still not sure if you are allowed to field more than one R2D2 on the Rebel Alliance side). Now I just need to get the gamestore I shop at to get in those fighters I ordered two months ago, so I can start running and playing 100 point games instead of the 70 or 80 point games I've played up to now.
Been running 1st Edition Gamma World for some of my RPG gaming friends. So far, after three months of gaming, they have almost reached their goal, finding Abraham Lincoln presidential dollar coins. If the players bring some back to their village they will be considered full adults in their community. They have had battles with lizardmen, the screaming bear, assorted giant rats, bandits, mutants, and a very unfriendly Police Patrol Droid. Decent enough gaming (with too many sessions missed due to real world interference) but not very photogenic.
Been painting some miniatures for the VACW (Very American Civil War set in the 30s) without much sense of urgency. OK I get them painted, then I have to find several people to talk into playing with them. I find it hard to even find someone to play Warhammer 40k with let alone something I might find interesting.
Sorry about all this grumbling. You know how it is. Lots of great ideas for games and no time and/or people and/or resources to turn them into reality.
Next month, I head to Gencon where I hope to get in some miniatures gaming, buy some stuff, and get a few pictures and AARs to post on my blog.
