Various Pics of Winter War 40 Games I played in Part 1 Friday afternoon I played in a three part Wings of War/Glory Game. Glad to hear that the Triplanes and Camels have been rereleased. I wasn't going to pay what they wanted for one of the originals The first round was early war, a pair of Halbersdtadt and a Roland CII Walfisch against three DH2s. I flew the Walfisch and had to fly over a target and take photo's. A bit of a slaughter, I downed one DH2 by myself (that arc of fire on a Walfisch is very nice) while the Halberstadt's claimed another one. And we completed the photography mission for a clean German win. The second round was DV's vs Nieuport 17s with the Albastrosses having to defend an observation balloon. We took out the rocket armed Nieuport, but a lucky shot from another Nieuport (not using incendiary rounds) set it on fire. I got shares on two kills, but we failed to defend the ballon and so lost the turn. The last game was a total disaster for the Germans. Two Snipes and a SE-5A vs. three Fokker D-VIIs. I had never played late war and was amazed at the abilities of the planes. A couple times I ended up where I wasn't suppose to be because the D-VII moved so fast (excuses, excuses). Two D-VIIs got shot down for the loss of no Allied planes. The picture is me exchanging shots with a Snipe while flying Goerings D-VII. I wondered if the would have changed WWII if someone else had ran the Luftwaffe? Still all-in-all a nice series of games.

Mysterious BillI've been gaming since the 1970's and even wrote some RPG adventures in the 80's for the Judges Guild. It seems that I can only get in miniatures is gaming at cons, but I do regularly play boardgames and RPGs. Archives
